In drilling the gas well SPD-16-06 in the phase 16 of south pars gas field, located in Persian Gulf, Dana Drilling Co. succeeded to set a new regional record by its drilling operation. During 24 hours operation 497 meters have been drilled at the hole section 12-1/4”.

This was realized for the first time by a local and private drilling contractor company in the development of south pars gas field. Following the current project plan there is a physical progress of more than 62% achieved until now, and more than 46000 meters have been drilled in the development of phases 15&16.
