The operation of Ahwaz 3D seismic survey officially started on Sat. Jan. 7, 2012.  Dr. Ghalavand managing director of NISOC, Mr. Dehanzad managing director of Karoun Oil & Gas Company and some of NISOC managers and also Mr. Karimi managing director of Dana Energy Company and Mr. Daneshkhah managing director of Dana Geophysics Co. and some of Dana Geophysics Co. managers took part in ceremony of operation start.

Mentioning Dana Geophysics Co. as a superior domestic company, managing director of NISOC said that Dana Geophysics Company’s capability is such a proof of both ability and profession of all Iranian companies.

In the ceremony, managing director of Dana Geophysics Co. introduced Dana Energy group of companies as the largest private one in upstream sector of Iran. “Execution of drilling projects in South Pars gas fields, 3D & 2D seismic acquisition projects, and also seismic processing and interpretation projects are of Dana services” he said. He also added that Dana Geophysics Co. as a subsidiary of Dana Energy is well equipped with hardware, software and experts in such a way that assures projects to be done in a timely manner and with desired quality.

Within the ceremony, Mr. Sarbaz, Operation deputy of Dana geophysics co. informed that Ahwaz 3D survey will be completed in 24 months period. The operation is in an area of 1519 sq. km. that vibrators are used as primary source of energy, and wherever it is not possible to use vibrators, the other type of energy sources will be used.
