In regard to service-expansion strategy of Dana Group, Dana Geophysics Company was recently awarded a project titled “Gas Hydrate Study in Oman Sea”. The client is Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI) and it will be completed within 18 months

This study has main objective of evaluation and assessment of presence of gas hydrate in Oman Sea and it includes: reprocessing of 1000 km of 2D marine seismic data using new advanced processing/interpretation methods such as Pre-stack Depth Migration (PSDM) accompanied by tomography, and also post stack seismic inversion, attribute analysis, reservoir characterization, stochastic pseudo-well simulator and stochastic Hit-cube inversion. Besides well-logging operation of the project has been included in DGC’s scope.
